The 2027 Honda 0 Alpha, the upcoming first electric car from Honda Car India, has been spotted testing on public roads near the company’s plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. These spy shots are shared by hero_samar on Instagram.
The spied images reveal that this upcoming electric vehicle will have an aerodynamic body with a clean side profile. In the spied images, the car can be seen wearing heavy camouflage to hide the design.
Exterior design.
Its sides have squared-off wheel arches, creating a distinct look. The flush-type door handles are among the details that are clearly visible on its sides. It will also add premiumness to the side view and also reduce that aerodynamic drag.
The Honda 0 Alpha sides also reveal ORVM on the front door, and five-spoke design alloy wheels seem to be 18-inch in size. The spy shots show that its rear will have a flat boot lid, roof-mounted spoiler, and large rear windshield.
This isn’t the first time the upcoming Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV has been spotted testing in India. Previously surfaced spy shots have already revealed many details, such as horizontally oriented taillamps, a closed-off grille, and modern LED headlights.
Interior feature expectations.
The Honda 0 Alpha will have a seating capacity of 5 people in the conventional 2-3 layout. Its cabin is set to be equipped with smart features and technology that enhance comfort, convenience, and practicality for the driver and passenger.
The large touchscreen infotainment system and fully digital instrument cluster are also expected to be available on the dashboard. Things regarding their size and orientation are still pending.
Reports suggest that a wireless phone charging pad at the center console, connected car technology with the OTA software updates for the infotainment screen, and ventilated front seats will also be available for this upcoming EV.

Honda will soon disclose the Honda 0 Alpha powertrain details at the launch. At the launch day, there will be an event where the carmaker will showcase the model and reveal all the details.
Things regarding the powertrain are still uncertain; the battery pack between 65 kWh and 75 kWh lithium-ion is most expected, as per RushLane and other automotive media sources.
We are expecting that the Honda 0 Alpha will go on sale as a front-wheel-drive drivetrain getting a permanent magnet synchronous motor on the front axle with 1-speed automatic transmission.
Performance information.
The Honda 0 Alpha range regarding details will emerge with the launch. The claimed range will vary depending on the battery pack. The manufacturer will reveal the ARAI-certified range; compared to the same, the real-world will be significantly lower.
The acceleration and top speed will be revealed soon. As the Honda 0 Alpha will be positioned against the mid-size models as FWD, we can expect to take around 9 minutes for a 0-100 kmph sprinting, and top speed may reach 170 kmph.
In a previous press release, Honda Car India has already confirmed that the first EV model from the brand in India will support a DC charger of around 350 kW and will take around 15 minutes for the 10 to 80 percent charging.
