jsw combat debut date confirmed

JSW Motors has announced the date on which they are going to launch the JSW Combat. This is an upcoming rugged sport utility vehicle, which is based on the Jetour T2. The JSW Combat is coming with the plug-in hybrid electric powertrain, which has 5 seats in 2-3 layouts.

The JSW Group has created JSW Motor by collaborating with Chery Automobile to launch the NEVs that are already sold in the Chinese market from Chery and its sub-brand. The brand will launch the model by assembling it at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.

4 December debut confirmed.

The JSW Combat off-road plug-in hybrid electric SUV will make its debut on December 4, 2026. Earlier, the brand planned to introduce it to the Indian market around festive season 2026 but now it has been officially delayed.

The carmaker has only confirmed the date on which they will launch the model. Reports suggest that the launch will happen through an event. At the event, the brand will showcase the model and unveil all the details, including specifications and features.

In China, Chery recently launched the Jetour T2 in the Chinese market with the refreshed exterior design and interior features. The version coming to the Indian market under the JSW Motor is expected to be a pre-facelift model, as per many reports.

Powertrain details pending.

Regarding the JSW Combat powertrain, not a single detail is officially confirmed. Reportedly, it will have all the features of Jetour T2. Under the hood, it may get a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol-powered internal combustion engine that has 1,499 cc displacement.

Two electric motors will also be available on the front axle. The engine and e-motors are set to be mated with the three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission; their mounting on the front axle confirms the front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Beneath the floor, there’s also a 18.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It powers the motor in both EV and hybrid modes and helps with emissions-free driving range.

Performance may also remain.

At the launch event, the JSW Combat plug-in hybrid electric car performance details will be unveiled. Notably, they are also expected to be similar to the Jetour T2, whose combined power output is 360 hp, and the peak torque is 610 Nm.

The international model that is sold as Jetour T2 has a 90 km range on NEDC condition, and the combined range is 1,100 km. The acceleration timing from 0 to 100 km/h and maximum speed may also remain the same as the model from Chery’s Jetour.

Expected features and technology.

The 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the dashboard’s center and the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster under the steering wheel are features that may be available on the JSW Combat plug-in electric car because they are also available on the model on which it is based.

Other features that this model may also be borrowed are the six-way powered adjustable driver, four-way powered adjustable co-passenger seat, and ventilated front seats. The memory function features for powered seats may also be retained.

The 12-speaker sound system being integrated with the infotainment system is highly expected to ensure an immersive audio experience; the same sound system is present on Jetour. Reportedly, it will also have six airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and a 560-degree camera as safety features.

Dimensions may be the same as Jetour T2.

The JSW Combat dimensions are going to be similar to the international-spec model Jetour T2, according to various automotive reports. The models sold across the globe have a length, width, and height of 4,785 mm, 2,006 mm, and 1,875 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm and a ground clearance of 205 mm.

This JSW Combat has been spotted testing on public roads in India multiple times. Spy shots of the test mule confirm that it will have a seating capacity of 5 people. As the dimensions are anticipated to remain the same for the Indian-spec model, we are expecting that the cargo capacity behind the second row will also remain the same.
